Hi. *insert awkward hand wave* It’s me, Lindsay.
I began blogging 10 years ago and about half of those years ago I started The Redwoods Collective. The dream began as an idea for a space where people could share their own dreams, desires and ideas. As I began collecting stories, however, more and more contributors were sharing their griefs, reflections and revelations with depth.
So that’s what this little virtual studio space became. A motley crew of griefs and joys along the journey of life.
Why the Redwoods you ask? These trees are 300+ ft tall giants whose roots only grow about 6 ft deep. What makes them so resilient? Their roots grow and intertwine with other Redwoods. They grow both upward and outward.
Community trees.
At the heart of The Redwoods Collective is cultivating community. Growing upward and growing outward together, just like the Redwoods. My hope is that you leave this site feeling encouraged & inspired.
And maybe even pondering your own little moments along your journey.
We are all storytellers.
We live in a network of stories.
There isn’t a stronger connection between people than storytelling.

I love to read and even more than that I love to collect books.
In my spare moments and summers off, you can find me near the lake or hiking on a trail - all things nature.
Tea > coffee. I love all things natural living. I make my own laundry detergent and hang eucalyptus in my shower. A simple thing that feels like a spa, ya know? I'm a granola gal through and through.
Yoga healed my body in many ways. Also a big fan of Orangetheory. Very opposite forms of fitness, but I'm a sucker for duality.
I LIVE for a good metaphor. I love dissecting it's wisdom. Metaphors and all things figurative inspire me most. Then I plaster my musings on canvas and paint in my spare time.
My favorite past time is gathering around tables full of food and wine and good people. That is heaven to me.
